We are a licensed, North Carolina state registered home bakery, located in Durham, NC. Deidra Reynolds, self-taught baker & owner of Mom & Pops Cakes & More, began baking in 2012. She wanted to bake something nice for her husband, family & friends for Valentine's Day. Her friend, Stephanie, suggested that she try her hand at making cakepops. Unsure of what in the world a "cakepop" even was, Deidra went to research this phenomenon known as cakepops.

 

She made cakepops several times before sharing them with family and friends. Their feedback encouraged her to begin experimenting with flavor combinations, resulting in the wide range of flavor options that are available today. Her love for flavor experimentation fosters her creativity and keeps her in the kitchen in search of new additions to the menu. Her love for her craft can be tasted in every bite of her sweet offerings.

Later, Deidra also began receiving requests for cupcakes and cakes and Mom & Pops Cakes & More was born! Now, Mom & Pops offers various items and the list continues to grow. We make an array of cakes and other dessert items for special celebrations and cakepop arrangements for any gift-giving occasion or event. Her husband, Marlon Reynolds, manages inventory and also helps to ensure that the cakes and other items are delivered in tact and on time. They are a team that is committed to service and quality. Their daughter, Kendall, is the Chief Quality Control Specialist. She takes her job of sampling every new recipe very seriously.
